Which style of unit is best for my premises?

There are traditionally two different types of wall mounted baby changing table and these depend on the direction that the table opens out, and the shape of the changer on the wall. A horizontal unit sits along the wall and opens out into the room length ways, which limits its protrusion into the space within the room. A vertical baby changing table is installed up the wall (designed for where wall space is limited along the wall) and opens out the full length of the changing table into the rooms space. A key factor to consider is how large the room is that you are installing the baby changing table within and the available space to maneuver, in addition to the actual wall space available itself. 

What are the safety features to keep my baby safe whilst changing?

All our models of baby changing tables offer a secure strap to strap the baby safely onto the table, helping to keep them in one place safe and securely. They are also manufactured with a deep concave shape that keeps the baby beneath the higher level of the changing table and provides a barrier to any accidents occurring with a rolling baby. Our heavy-duty models can hold a baby up to 23kg in weight and our best-selling horizontal and vertical models can hold a baby up to 15kg in weight (and has been tested in the USA to a weight of 20kg). These models are also tested to health and safety legislation including EN12221-2:2008 + A1:2013. 

What is the Static Load Weight?

The static load weight is the total weight the table has been tested to, in circumstances such as the adult leaning on the table whilst the baby is in place on the table. The main consideration we would recommend considering is the weight that each changing table has been tested to (15kg for the Horizontal and Vertical models, and 23kg for the Heavy duty models).

What materials are the tables made from?
Each baby changing table is manufactured from anti-bacterial plastic that ensures no bacteria can be harbored on the surface of the table. Our tables are also fitted with liner dispensers so they can safely store the nappy change liners hygienically whilst providing easy access for the adult. For convenience, the tables are also fitted with bag hooks for the adult to hang any bags whilst changing the baby without having to put their bags on the floor.

All fixings are provided with each table. It is a legal requirement that the tables are fitted by a qualified/professional person.
